We are KOBAYASHI FARM, a small family-run farm cultivating a diverse range of unique, seasonal vegetables in small quantities —
sharing the joy, excitement, and deliciousness of each harvest.
We grow log-grown shiitake mushrooms, vegetables, and rice in Mito, Ibaraki, Japan.
Here, nature is the main character.
Through farming in tune with the seasons,
we aim to pass on Mito’s rich food culture —
together with children, and with you — into the future.
Our goal is to realize a form of sustainable farming that brings happiness to nature, those who grow, and those who eat.
By using local environments and resources close to our daily lives,
we pursue farming with less waste and less strain — simple, thoughtful, and connected.
This is what KOBAYASHI FARM contemplates every day
as we work hand in hand with the soil, the fields, and the logs.
